Shiok Mixer Report

[info]themadman turned the Shiok Mixer into a MEGA food festival for those of us lucky enough to attend.

A 10 Course Meal + A surpise Dessert! - Rs.300/-

Cocktails with original imported liqour - Rs.150/-

We basically looted [info]themadman and couldn't even do it properly cause even though we stuffed ourselves silly we couldn't finish the food.

My personal favourites in the starters were the Thai Pepper-garlic chicken and the Tamar ind Chicken wings. Being the 'host' of sorts I had to shuttle between various tables and managed to steal from everyone's plates. :)

In the main course I loved Cho Chee Fish and the Drunken Noodles Chicken which I had a couple of days ago. The Drunken Noodles are a "don't miss" if you're at Shiok.

All this went down with 2 Long Island Ice Teas, 1 mean (improvised) Shiok Slammer and another unnamed improvised cocktail.

Also I stole liberally (some Martinis & LIITs) from [info]kaustubhhere & [info]dhempe who were also having cocktails. Well I streached the tasting menu definition a bit ;-)

Hainanese Chicken Rice

Grilled eggplant in red chilli sauce and basil

Massaman curry with tofu and sweet potato + rice

DESSERT - Blueberry cheesecake

Have a Mixer with a mix of both. We had to go through a lot of veg food too because of 2 vegetarians. [info]themadman was seething about that :-)

Shiok is being good competition to Sidewok in apna cocktail stakes. Good VFM.

And we won't have 5k bills if we do a cocktail binge here.

Now we just need to get [info]themadman to hire Virendra. ;-)

Nah, it's okay. The drunken noodles more than made up for anything I could have missed. Totally awesome. I'll be back for them when I get the right company to bangalore ;)
